Iman Issa (1979) lives and works between Cairo and New York. Awards include the 2015 Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award, the 2013 Abraaj Group Art Prize and 2012 HNF-MACBA Award. Her work has been recently displayed at Kunsthalle Lissabon, MACBA, Barcelona, Perez Art Museum, Miami, the 12th Sharjah Biennial, the 8th Berlin Biennale, MuHKA, Antwerp, Tensta Konsthall, Spånga, New Museum, New York, and KW Institute of Contemporary Art, Berlin. Upcoming exhibitions include But a Storm Is Blowing from Paradise, Guggenheim Museum, New York, Heritage Studies, Carlier Gebauer, Berlin, Imperfect Chronology, Whitechapel Gallery, London, and Kaleidoscope, Modern Art Oxford, Oxford. Issa teaches at the Cooper Union School of Art in New York.
